Adults dosed individually. The recommended initial daily dose is 30 mg. Doses can be increased until an optimal therapeutic effect is achieved. The average effective daily dose is 60-90 mg.

Elderly patients are selected individually, the initial dose is 30 mg, with a further gradual increase. The maintenance effective dose may be somewhat lower than for patients of adulthood.

In view of the lack of clinical experience, doses of the drug for children are not worked out.

The daily dose can be divided into several methods, but, given the beneficial effect of the drug on sleep, it is preferable to take in one session at night.

Treatment with adequate doses should lead to positive results within 2-4 weeks of therapy. With insufficient effectiveness, the daily dose is increased. In the absence of positive dynamics during the next 2-4 weeks of treatment, Lerivon therapy should be discontinued. After the achieved clinical improvement, to maintain a positive effect, treatment should be continued for the next 4-6 months. Discontinuation of Lerivon's treatment rarely causes withdrawal symptoms.

Strengthens the oppressive effect of alcohol on the central nervous system (should refrain from drinking alcohol during the course of treatment). Incompatible with MAO inhibitors (simultaneous use should be avoided and during the next 2 weeks after the end of the course of treatment with these agents).

Lerivon does not affect the action of such drugs, such as betanidine, clonidine, methyldopa, guanethidine or propranolol, incl. in combination with hydralazine. In the process of therapy with antihypertensive drugs, it is necessary to monitor blood pressure.
